History

 

The building started early in 1985. First in January lots of trees had to be cute down for. Smaller trees and bushes had to be cute in summer time and mostly of this work were done for free. Lots of people who wanted the skisenter did work for free. During summer 1986 all the building materials tree and iron had to be carried up the hill. For holding the concrete fundaments steady on the right places there are big holes deep in the mountain. The holes were filled with concert and 24 millimetres round iron goes trough the fundament and deep down in the mountain. Big screws trough the fundaments and up for connecting the heismastene steady. Some of the concrete and heismastene were flied  up with a helicopter. The helicopter was bigger than the Sea King rescue helicopter, and the price per hour was (NOK) 92.000,-
Spleising av the 24 millimetres hovedvaieren was made 12 meters long. The lift Stadeli is from Switzerland, but it was bought from Sweden AlpSport and they had their personnel to  set the lift together.
The lift was ready to transport people November/December 1986. The snow did arrive in middle of January 1987.
The people who wanted to use the new and only lift in Rissa was tålmodig. The people did stood in the lift line for up till 25 minuttes. The transportation up the hill took about 6 minutes. Time for going down was from tree and up to thirty minutes. The people who did use thirty minutes had the time to carry the ski down to the start position for the ski lift.
Few years after the skisenter was build it arrived people from USA. For some this was their first opponitinity to ski. The was their first experience with a skilift. This was a very funny opplevelse for tilskuerne.

January 1987 we recognise Driftsleder Harald Hulvand in the red Prinoth ski dress. The factory which made Prinoth Pisten Bully did gave some of those ski dresses to the skisenter.
